Just wondering what you guys think of this group of players. Do any of them seem like they are a notch above or below the rest?

Wow, are you working on a top 400 or so, G.O.A.T.?
I wish I could notice one of these players sticking out, but to me they're all about the same level of greatness. |

I expanded my top 100 annual list to top 200 last year and am going for 350 this year. I've expanded my database to about 750 players. Right around 300 the lines really get blurred. Moving a player 50 spots up or down in a day is a common occurrance.
The hardest issue is measuring guys you've not seen much and can only find little bits written about. I know nothing of Bob Kaufmann or Glen Combs or Dick Garmaker. Even the groups of 20-30 I have them in are unsatisfying. |

I think your criteria for ranking those players can become more objective because we are less likely to have any of them as favorites.
By listing the criteria, say, 10 or 15 of them, then do a checklist for each and voila.
The criteria should be simple:
Stats (contextual)
Versatility
Relative ranking among peers
Team Success
Etc. |

To many questions I can't find the answers for.
Why type of teammate was Bob Rule? How did Purvis Short do the majority of his scoring? Things like this.
It's not that I think there is a correct answer, but there is an order I find satisfying at the end of each year. Especially for the top 75-100. Once I get to that level, I'll be pretty content. |
